For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "you" and "your" means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, or another individual whose information we have collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use or access any of the Services.

Section 1 - Information Collection

We collect various types of Personal Data either directly or through third parties. This includes cookies, usage data, email, name, social media accounts, and location. Additional details about the Personal Data collected may be provided in other sections of this privacy policy or through specific explanations at the time of data collection.

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information except as described in this policy.

While on our site, you may opt-in to receive information and/or marketing offers from third parties, including social networking sites. If you consent to share your personal information, it will be disclosed to the third party and subject to their privacy policy and business practices.

Personal Data may be provided voluntarily by the User or collected automatically while using this Service. The use of cookies and other tracking tools by this Service or third-party services, unless stated otherwise, helps identify Users and remember their preferences to provide the service required by the User and for remarketing purposes.

Failure to provide certain Personal Data may prevent this Service from delivering its programs. Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data shared through this Service and confirm they have the right to share or broadcast it, relieving the Data Controller of any responsibility.

Section 2 - Consent

How do we obtain your consent?

When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply your consent to collect and use it for that specific purpose only.

For secondary purposes, such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your express consent or provide you with an opportunity to opt-out.

How can you withdraw your consent?

If you change your mind after opting in, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you or continue collecting, using, or disclosing your information at any time by contacting us at info@wattwheelsebike.com

Section 3 - Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if required by law or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Section 4 - Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you use a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase. After that, it is deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with PCI-DSS standards managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For more information, you may also want to read Shopify’s Terms of Service (https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms) or Privacy Statement (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy).

Section 5 - Third-Party Services

Generally, third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we must provide to them for purchase-related transactions. We recommend reading their privacy policies to understand how your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Certain providers may be located in or have facilities in different jurisdictions. Therefore, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) where the service provider or its facilities are located. For example, if you are in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway in the United States, your personal information may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party site or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being viewed.

Section 6 - Security

We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to protect your personal information from being inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

If you provide your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
